An event studio built around the DMV's real venues
K&C Sparkles is an event planning, design and décor studio working across Washington, DC, suburban Maryland and Northern Virginia. We take on weddings, milestone celebrations, showers, children's parties and corporate events.
The DMV is not one market. A row-house venue in the District, a community hall in Silver Spring, a high-rise event floor in Arlington and a vineyard outside Leesburg each demand a different plan for the same design. Most of the difficult work in this business happens before anyone hangs a single balloon: confirming what the venue allows, when we can get in, and how long we have.
That is where we put our attention. You get a design direction you can picture, an itemised scope you can approve, and a team that shows up inside the window your venue gave us.
How we operate
Four standards we hold
Say what is true
If something is not buildable in your venue, your budget or your timeline, we say so before you pay for it. Nothing is promised that we cannot deliver.
Design for the room you have
Ceiling heights, wall surfaces, load-in doors and power access decide what is possible. We start there instead of starting from a mood board.
Written over verbal
Scope, timings and responsibilities go in writing. That is what keeps event day calm and prevents surprise line items.
Leave it better than we found it
Clean install, clean strike, nothing left for your family or the venue staff to deal with.
Transparency
What we will not put on this page
We have chosen not to publish event counts, awards, years in business, client testimonials or venue partnerships until each one can be verified and attributed. When those details are confirmed, they will appear here — and only then.
